During my career I managed several specialized workloads for my district office’s entire service area. At various times over the years, in addition to regular workloads, I have specialized in processing all Medicare enrollments, Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amounts for Medicare premiums, special Medicare processing for Chronic Renal patients, and all Continuing Disability Reviews for our area.
I’ve mentored many people over my career, written instructions for case processing to assist co workers in best practices, trained several courses including widow benefits, and annual earning tests.
Unlike most SSA employees who are, what they refer to as cross trained, ie trained in both SSA and SSI, I was completely specialized in and am an expert in retirement, survivors, and children’s benefits. As an experienced employee, I was refereed to by management as a pillar of the office for Title II Law.
