My Career

I worked for Social Security for over 26 years. My career was spent specializing in Title II of the Social Security Act, which encompasses entitlements for Retirement, Survivor, and Disability benefits, as well as Medicare entitlement under Title 18. I worked my way up, starting off as a Claims Development Clerk, then as a Service Representative, Claims Specialist, Technical Expert, and finally retiring as an Operations Supervisor.

Over my career, I worked in multiple district field offices in both urban and rural communities. In addition to my regular workloads, I managed several specialized workloads for my district’s entire service area, including but not limited to Medicare enrollments, Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amounts for Medicare premiums, special Medicare processing for individuals with End Stage Renal Disease, continuing disability reviews, and all trial work reviews.

I provided technical support to my colleagues, mentored my employees, served as a congressional liaison, organized and assigned workloads, scheduled and managed interactive video training sessions, conducted staff meetings, and have written instructions for case processing to assure best practices. I’ve also taught multiple in-person training courses, including instruction on widow benefits and annual earnings test.

I spent the bulk of my career as a claims specialist helping people file for benefits – retirees, claimants with disabilities, and families suffering the loss of a loved one. Unlike most SSA employees who are cross-trained in both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (a needs based program housed within the administration), I was completely specialized in and am an expert in Retirement, Survivors, and children’s benefits. As an experienced employee, I was referred to by management as a pillar of the office for Title II law. After my retirement I missed the satisfaction of helping people.

I started offering my expertise for consult to local financial advisory firms. I’ve assisted them with multiple technical inquiries for their clients, conducted educational seminars, and attended public outreach events. It was during this experience I realized how much clients appreciated representation when filing for Retirement benefits.

My experience makes me uniquely qualified to guide you to your best entitlement.

Personal Information

My primary focus has always been my family. I’m a married mom of three and proud to be a part of a supportive family. Navigating the ups and downs of life together, my greatest accomplishment has been raising my son and two daughters. Our family enjoys dinners together, laughter, and the outdoors. I am thankful to have my husband and children by my side.

I believe in giving back to and supporting the community. I was actively involved in my children's education through volunteering and serving as the president of the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) at my daughters’ elementary school. During my time as PTO president, I successfully spearheaded initiatives to enhance the learning environment for students by securing and authorizing funding that facilitated white board installation in every classroom.

One of my proudest accomplishments as PTO president was my role in building a consensus among stakeholders to allocate conserved funds towards the creation of an additional play ground for the school. By facilitating open communication and fostering a collaborative decision making process, I was able to achieve the support of teachers, parents, and administrators in order to prioritize the installation of a much needed additional playground for the enjoyment of our children.

I am also an avid dog enthusiast. As a dedicated animal advocate, I have also volunteered my time fostering dogs, providing them with a safe and loving environment until they found their forever homes. In addition to fostering, I have assisted local dog rescues in transporting dogs, volunteering my time at a local dog shelter, and caring for them by helping with feeding, exercise, and cleaning their kennels. It was gratifying to make a difference in the lives of these deserving animals.

My general life philosophy is that if you’re going to do something, do it well, with pure intentions. It’s with that mindset, I’ve started this representation service for you, to ensure you receive your best retirement entitlement.
